Canceling Your Hosting Account
We're sorry to see you go! If you need to cancel your dotCanada.com hosting account, follow the steps below. Before proceeding, please ensure you've backed up all your website files, databases, and emails, as these will be permanently deleted upon cancellation.
Steps to Cancel Your Hosting Account
- Log in to the WHMCS Client Area at https://clients.dotcanada.com/login
- Go to Services > My Services
- Find the hosting service you wish to cancel and click on it
- Click the Request Cancellation button (usually in the right sidebar or under "Actions")
- On the cancellation request form:
- Select a Cancellation Type:
- Immediate: Your service will be terminated right away
- End of Billing Period: Your service will remain active until the end of your current billing period
- Select a Cancellation Reason from the dropdown menu
- Provide additional details in the Comments field (optional but helpful)
- Select a Cancellation Type:
- Click Request Cancellation to submit your request
What Happens Next?
- You'll receive an email confirmation of your cancellation request
- Our team will review your request (usually within 24-48 hours)
- Once approved, you'll receive a final confirmation email
- If you chose "Immediate" cancellation, your account will be terminated promptly
- If you chose "End of Billing Period," your account will remain active until your current subscription period ends
Important: Account cancellation is irreversible. Once your account is terminated, all data (websites, emails, databases) will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have downloaded all necessary backups before requesting cancellation.
Refund Policy
Our refund policy for cancellations is as follows:
- First 30 days: If you cancel within the first 30 days of your initial purchase, you may be eligible for a full refund (excluding domain registration fees)
- After 30 days: No pro-rated refunds are available for unused portions of your hosting term
- Domain names: Domain registration fees are non-refundable
